| Silver Raine is a two person band from Southern California. The Members are Ally (Drums, eggs, tamborine, percussion, vocals) and Roni (Guitar, Keyboard, Bass, Vocals) The two of them have been singing together since 1997 when they wrote their first song, "Planet 3". Planet 3 was recorded at ex member, Lin's house - with help from her brother, Walker. He arranged music for the whole song. Vocals on the song were Roni, Ally, Talena (Ex member) and Lin (Ex Member). Planet 3 had a huge response from Silver Raine's peers. Everybody seemed to like it - so later that year, They decided to try to do it again, this time, they wrote 2 more original songs for a school district wide contest. The subject was "Suddenly yo turn around". So, the girls got together and wrote "Suddenly you turn around" and "Remember me". Remember Me didn't do so well in the competition, but Suddenly you turn around went all the way to runner up. After that school year was over, they didn't do much more as a band - they were still riding on the success of Planet 3 and Suddenly you turn around. but when the eighth grade school year started, the teachers did as much as they could to help them. Their english teacher, was constantly making assignments that had to do with writing lyrics or music. (Silver Raine attended a performing arts middle school) And in December of 1998, when the academy had their annual Winter program, they allowed Silver Raine to perform "White Christmas" in a four part harmony arrangment. Peers along with the staff at Almondale Middle School were in awe at Silver Raine's performance - the teachers loved it so much that they allowed Silver Raine to record White Christmas for the "Brodway/Christmas" cd. After the eighth grade year ended, Talena parted ways with the band - She didn't want to sing for her whole life, and she didn't want to drag the other girls down. So, Silver Raine continued as a trio, Roni, Ally, and Lin. They went on to write several more songs of which included "Crashing Down", "I Hate You All Over Again", "Mixed Emotions" and "Scared" And they started their very first website, which launched on March 05, 2000. They uploaded wavs on March 18, 2000, but on August 09, 2000, Lin decided to leave the band also, for the same reason as Talena. Silver Raine (Now Roni and Ally) were forced to remove the wavs from their site, due to the fact that Lin was no longer part of the band. but soon enough, Roni and Ally got an acoustic verson of "Scared" on the site. A few months passed, and they decided it was time to add something more. Accompanied by a new layout for the site, Silver Raine added a new song, called "Empty Promises". "Empty Promises" is one of the girl's favorite songs, and one of their longest, coming in at 6 minutes long! Along with Empty Promises, they added an Electric Version of Scared. Silver Raine now has a number of songs available on napster, including "Empty Promises", "The JoJo Jingle", "Scared", "Away" and "Jay" Silver Raine hopes to one day become a household name.
