		News on da Stars Orlando Bloom Travels to Troy The Lord of the Rings trilogy star Orlando Bloom is in talks to join Brad Pitt and Eric Bana in Warner Bros. Pictures/Village Roadshow Pictures' Troy for director Wolfgang Petersen, says The Hollywood Reporter. "Troy," based on "The Iliad," Homer's epic account of the Trojan War, is set to begin shooting in the spring in the United Kingdom, Malta and Morocco, with an eye toward a 2004 release. David Benioff wrote the script to the adventure, which will see Bana star as Hector to Pitt's Achilles. Hector is the prince of Troy, who leads the Trojan army in holding off the entire Greek armada. It is Hector's brother, Paris (Bloom), who steals the beautiful Helen away from her husband, Menelaus, the king of Sparta, and prompts the war between Greece and Troy. Elijah Wood is now offically 22 as of January 28, 2003. Happy B-Day Lij! Lord of the Rings sadly did not win any awards from The Golden Globes, but we still got the Oscars!! Elijah Wood is scheduled to be on Late Night with Conan O'Brien next Friday the 17th. Conan is on NBC at 12:35AM, check your local listings. [More] Golden Satellite Awards The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers has received eight nominations for the Golden Satellite Awards. The nominations, which include Best Motion Picture (Drama), Best Director and Best Supporting Actor (Drama) come one short of the nine nominations received by The Fellowship of the Ring last year, however this year The Two Towers has already received a special award for Oustanding Motion Picture Ensemble Cast - meaning the possibility of coming away from the awards with nine Golden Satellites is still a possibility. The Fellowship of the Ring dvd has also been nominated for two awards [More] Dumbledore, Again? Rumors popped up these past few weeks suggesting that Sir Ian McKellen or Sir Michael Gambon had been selected to take over the role of Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies. However, People.com is now reporting that Warner Brothers Studio has denied that either McKellen or Gambon have accepted the role. More Should Gollum get an Oscar? While Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers breaks box-office records in America and Australia, it has generated the first Big Question of 2003: should Gollum get an Oscar?
