Jay A. Walsh: My personal favorite. The blankness behind the subject in the photo gives me a feeling of oblivion beyond this person. Sort of a "last surviving person on earth" theme. To me. Or that they are about to dive into nothingness. Even though it's so simple, it is surprisingly complex. What a paradox! Heh.
Benedict Tisa: I love the way this photographer uses light in both of my favorite shots. In the first one it looks almost as though the boy standing in the background has this angelic glow around his head. Reminding me of innocence and goodenss of youth; juxtaposed with the older man, closer to the camera, who seems a bit cynical of the whole proceeding.
In my second favorite photo it seems as though the subject is being chased awake by the sun and is doing everything possible to avoid being woken up. The timing of this photo is amazing.
