Terrible picture I know, but this is what is known as a Wound Vac. I had a complication. Part of my incision opened up with an infection. We got the infection taken care of, but the hole only kept getting deeper. The doctor recommended this vac that runs into the wound via a sponge. It's really helped in the healing although it's a pain in the butt! |

This is a picture of the Hoover as I like to call it. This is the actual Wound Vac itself. |

This is a picture of the sponge that's inside of the wound. Pretty gross, huh? |

This is my wound without the sponge in it. I think it looks like I've been shot! LOL! At this point the wound was at 3cm. Well on it's way to healing. |

This is my new incision after my third surgery. The doctor completely cut off for old incision (that had the huge hole in it). This is about 2 weeks after the surgery... so far so good!!!!! |

This picture to the left is the newest picture of my scar. This is 7 months after my orginal RNY sugery, but only 3 months after my last surgery. You can see at the very bottom of the incision, there is a small circle. That's the scar from the drainage tube that I had. Hopefully this will begin to fade soon! |
