It was a beautiful morning. Everything looked perfect. Everyone was filled with such enthusiastic mood. Apparently, everyone was looking forward to another wonderful Buddhist Students' Society Bungalow Stay.

After a slight delay, we finally found ourselves in the bungalow we are so at ease with. It was like being home again. We greeted Uncle Wang and his wife. They were equally as delighted to see us as we were of them.

We had a quiet afternoon resting those feet and shoulders after a long walk with those heavy bags and foodstuff. By evening, many more had arrived and joined us there. Everyone was so happy to see each other again, especially among the ex-members. We were also glad to have both Mr Lai and Ms Khaw with us for the whole duration of the stay. This bungalow stay could not be more timely as everyone in the universities was having their holidays as well.

As most of the ex-members could not stay the whole duration, the organising committee made some changes to the programme to fit everyone. The highlight of every Bungalow Stay Copyright © Buddhist Students' Society 1998  -- chicken pie -- was moved one day ahead so that everyone get a taste of Mr Wang's delicious pie. The games schedule were also adjusted to enable everyone to take part. The 'secret admirer' game turned out to be a successful one although the Games Committee thought of scrapping it earlier.

Of course, everyone had a nice time catching up with each other, getting to know each other, and plenty of time to play, eat and laugh, although sleep was very much forsaken. However, when it came to learning time, everyone sat down quietly and listened Copyright © Buddhist Students' Society 1998 attentively to the Dhamma talks either given by Mr Lai himself or recorded Dhamma talks on tape. We also had regular meditation sessions throughout the four-day stay.

Everything was just perfect. All of us had such a wonderful time that many of those having to leave a day earlier express their reluctance to go home. Nevertheless, they had responsibilities to take care of and had to leave when the time comes. The farewell for them was, nonetheless, very dramatic.

Everyone was very satisfied with this Bungalow Stay. To the present members, they get to meet up with the ex-members who were more than willing to share their experiences with them. To the ex-members, it was such a delight to see Mr Lai, Ms Khaw and their old friends again. Basically, everyone had a wonderful time.

The organising committee had certainly done a very good job. Mr Lai too was very pleased by the way things worked out during this bungalow stay. A big sadhu goes out to those who had contributed to this successful bungalow stay.
