My name is Irina Barkovskaya, I am an artist - ceramist. I live in Moscow, Russia. After graduating from Moscow Higher School of Arts (the former Stroganovskoye School) in 1967 I worked in the ornamental plastic arts, making floor vases, reliefs in ceramics intended for the interiors of public buildings, such as Moscow House of Cinema, Moscow Institute of Beauty, "Cosmos" Hotel, etc. |

Since 1966 I have participated every year in Moscow, Republican, allunion and International exhibitions (over 50). I am a member of the Union of Artists of Russia from 1973. My favorite genre - animal sculptures (material: fire-clay, majolica, faience). My works are in the reserves of the All-Russia Museum of Decorative Applied Art, Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Ministry of Culture of Russia, Union of Artists of Russia, etc., and in private collections.
In 2002 the honorary title the "Deserved Artist of Russia" was given to me by the decree of the President of Russia !
