Riot City - Biography

Crappy

Riot City Logo
Tom was a founding member of Riot City and played in the band between 12 May 2001 and 14 July 2001.
Crappy grew up in the shanty towns of Vanuatu on a diet of reggae from the local radio station and Motown from the stereo at home. Back in Sydney he was dubbed "Crappy" by Will bastard, a name Will only called him once, but everyone else he knew, would use from that time onwards. He attempted to learn trumpet from a teacher but failed so he taught himself by playing along to his Bad Manners and Laurel Aitken records. Spent his time filling his head with the useless info ... ska thrives on whilst drinking in the street outside many an over 18’s show. He had been in numerous bands that had started and broken up before he joined the AMR crew. It was here whilst talking shit at work with Ruffy that the idea for Riot City was born.

A closet Clash freak, Crappy, if not listening to the Clash, will most likely be found listening to Madness, Prince Buster, blah blah blah. And when not out and about or working as a slave he lives on the bus between Castle Hill and the City. Crappy is heading off to merry old England soon for 6 months so you probably won’t see him for a while but he’ll keep you all informed as to what he is getting up to.
