Dalhousie is a small town in Himachal Pradesh (India) established in the second half of 19th Century AD. This place was conceived as a sanatorium by the British. The British left India, but their charm still remains, with this beautiful, laid back town.

The town is built around and upon five hills, covered with a thick growth of Ban (oak), conifers and a large variety of trees and shrubs.

The five districts of Balun, Kathloang, Potreyn, Tehra and Bakrota have heights ranging from 5000 to 7800 ft. The natural beauty of Dalhousie, invigorating air, warm sunshine and quiet surroundings add, enchantment to its open and colourful valleys, level walks and treks amidst the dense forests.

On a clear day , one can see the rivers - Chenab, Beas and Ravi meandering down the rose-grey vista of the valley hills while the snow capped ranges of Dhauladhar rise to awe-inspiring height of 18000 ft. to 21,000ft.
