The cem which had its beginning in 1826 os located 1/2 mile south. Wm Rucker 1760-1826 a Revolutionary war veteran was the first person buried in the cem. Also his son Wm 1791-1868 a color bearer in the war of 1812 Col Octvatius Claiborne Hatcher a Mexican war veteran, Capt Wm Pillow Rucker CSA killed at Fort Donelson, Capt Rucker's two brother ALonzo De Alverado, and John S R, and their brother in law Archer Jordan, The last three men served in the co D 20th Tenn infantry CSA. The cem is maintained by the Historic Rucker family cem asstn.
