Washington DC
So, I finally got my ass out of Greenville, and all the way to Washington DC: all for just 25 bucks!! Bargain, if you ask me. It was fun, cold, and very intellectual (I don't think I've ever spent that much time in museums in my life). It was also pretty calm, but we were there on a Saturday and Sunday, so. Mostly tourists. More pictures are coming as I acquire them from people who accompied me who had slightly newer (not ancient) cameras than me, mine only keeps 40 pics and I had all these puppy pics I wanted to print *ahem*. So. More to come, hopefully soon.

OK. So I don't actually remember which monument this is... but I'm sure the thing was put there for a good cause. It's pretty, it's one of the first group pictures we took. From the left: Ross (Scottish one) and Kai, Lea, Zcymon (?), Ramsay, Ross (the Welsh one) and Rob.

Me. In the background: the center of world power, das weisse Haus, vita huset, the white house (or should that be The White House, maybe). I regret not taking a pic of the guy with the bunny. He was funny (no, not intentional but I'm keeping it!).

The first evening we had dinner at this Malaysian restaurant. T'was very, very tasty. We paid 40 dollars in tax, total. It's not good to be a company of more than 7 in this country. 18% tax, blah. And they call us Communists!

So. We managed to sqeeze in 1,5h at the Library of Congress. Which didn't even give us time to take the tour, or look at any of the collections or hear about the history if the Library of Congress Cataloguing System, or... Right. *ahem* This building has been called 'the most beautiful public building in the US'. I want it, like, in my living room. I'll try and post some pics of the interior when I get them off Lea...
