Here are three versions of the same scene, photographed over a span of three-quarters of a century.  The photos are taken from the cemetery, looking back towards the house. The top view is circa 1926.  I took the other two pictures.  The middle one is from 1971; the roof of the house is still visible with its two chimneys, as well as a couple of outbuildings.  Thirty years later in 2001, the trees have grown up to hide it all.
