Before moving on to the new part of the science center, I looked into a familiar room in Wright.  A physics lab course meets here.  But notice all the computers sitting around!  Back when I was a student, there was only one computer in the whole building, an IBM mainframe which took up a good part of the basement.

These tables are empty at the moment, but a student tour guide showed me all kinds of interesting equipment in smaller, specialized labs, including an X-ray diffraction device and an experimental setup for fabricating thin-film solar cells.
