Pump Up The Valuum- NoFX For a start this album rules. this is a NoFX album full of punk, there is no ska on this album. Though maybe a little short, with only 14tracks including a 'fun' last track, and what is basically a re-working of Linoleum for the opener 'and now for something completely similar'. Still, these songs are both cool, but the best is definately the middle. Standout songs include the attack on he corporate side of the music industry 'Dinosaurs Will Die', the follow up to 'Liza and Louise' from 'White trash...' album, in the form of 'Louise' and 'Herojuana' taking an opposite stance on drug problems, stating 'the only real drug problem is scoring real good drugs'.
This album is full of good songs, no songs that will be constantly skipped like on previous records. This album is a must for NoFX fans, and people who have been impressed with bands like Green Day/Blink 182 and The Offspring. Rated 8/10 |

Life on a Plate- Millencolin A cool album from probably the best skate-punk band. This album rules, especially when you're feeling down. Full of bouncy, happy tunes, with the highlights being 'Bullion', perhaps on of the best opening tracks for any album, other stand out tracks include 'Move your Car' and the fast and bouncy 'Story of my Life'. Softworld shows a slightly slower paced side to this band, and 'Airhead' talks about trendy guys and how ugly girls will ruin their syle etc. Probably showing a more mature side to the band in comparison to other ongs such as 'Vulcan Ears'. Its all good though.
Any Millencolin fan should have this album, and anyone who is thinking of buying a Millencolin album should go for this as their first. Rated 8/10 |

Everything Sucks- Descendents This album sees the return of Milo to the Descendents band members who brought us All. Opening with the fast paced rant 'Everything Sux' this album gets off to a good start. 'This Place' picks up a similar mood to the opener, while 'Coffee Mug' and 'Eunuch Boy' are even faster and sharper. 'Im the One' and 'She Loves Me' show a more sensitive side to this CD while the rest of the songs kinda fall somewhere between these two ends. Other notably good tracks are 'Rotting Out' and the bitch about the legal system 'Caught' which is a good song with good lyrics to match. 'When I get Old' is also well worth a listen. All in, i dont think there is a bad song on this album, so it is much recommended.
Rated 9/10 |

Freedumb- Suicidal Tendencies Straight off, this album is pure punk. Has everything a good punk album should. Fast songs, good lyrics, amazing vocals. The album opens with title track 'Freedumb' in a shouty way and continues throughout the album.
Best tracks include 'Ain't gonna take it' 'Cyco-Vision' 'Hippie Killer' and the track with possibly the best lyrics of 'I hate myself sometimes, thats true, but I can't hate myself enough to be like you' a thought I often feel about people, track called 'I aint Like You'. The only complaint about this album is that some of the songs do sound similar to one another, but still a cool album... Rated 9/10

Conspiracy of One- The Offspring After the last Offspring album 'Americana' I, as well as many others was wary about how good this album would be. Leading up to its release the band described it as 'the most punk fucking rock' album that they had done. Is it? Well it does come damn close to the quality of 'Smash' and in my oppinion is as good as 'Ignition' and better than 'Ixnay..' and 'Americana'.
Many songs such as 'Come Out Swinging', 'Dammit I Changed Again' and 'Want You Bad' remind you much of the better Offspring songs from their older albums. 'One Fine Day' is anther stand out track, with a more bouncy feel to it. 'Original Prankster' is obviously this albums equivlant to the awful 'Pretty Fly...' but much less annoying, and there are some tracks like 'Vultures' which hav a similar style to older songs 'Gone Away' and 'Gotta Get Away'
If you are expecting something similar to 'Americana' this aint it, with the first 10 tracks being much like the first 2tracks from that album. Rated 8/10 |
