Colorado joined the league as the Colorado Rockies in Tournament #52. Over fifty tournaments, the Rockies managed a terrible record of 14-37-19 with no tournament wins. When the league contracted from 34 teams to 32 teams for tournament #103 (Oct. 20, 2001), the Rockies merged with Tampa Bay to become the Avalanche. The Avalanche proved a more successful team, posting a better record and winning two 10 day Lindsay tournaments.
