Diana also moves into top spot for a female player with 4 wins on the day (all 1-0) For the playoffs, Shawn's Canucks took Noel's Ducks out 3-2 in OT to move to the Finals. Noel won a 1-0 OT game vs Diana's Bruins to keep alive and move to the Finals for a re-match vs Shawn. In the Finals it was a third straight OT game with Shawn finally winning 1-0.

After 3 rounds, Noel brought the #1 Tampa Bay Lightning (uh-oh) to the playoffs to face Shawn's #2 Detroit. Noel won 3-2, in OT to advance to the finals. Harvey was waiting for Shawn with host Vancouver, but after they put on the vintage 80s uniforms things went downhill as Shawn won 5-1 and got a second chance against Noel in the finals. In real life, Detroit is #1 and Tampa is #30 in the NHL... In table hockey it was about the same, with Shawn winning 5-2 for his 1st tournament victory.

Kevin once again had a great opening, getting the bye to sit in 2nd, but then dropping the game 5-1 to Donnie in the playoffs. Curtis' #4 Canucks beat out Dan's #5 Hartford 4-3. Noel took the #1 Edmonton Oilers past Curtis' Vancouver Canucks 3-2, it was Curtis' best fought loss. In the Finals Noel and Aaron had a real back and forth game, ending 4-3 with a last second Montreal goal. Aaron also won the Stiga tournament with Ottawa that day (defeating Noel and the Ducks in the finals also). Tim got no trophies and will have to practice for the next time.
Dec 19, 2007 Tournament #240. 4 Players: Noel, Kevin, Curtis, Matt. Hosted by Hartford (because the logos were still on the board from last time). A return to Brockville for Xmas proved a great opportunity for some table hockey compared to the table hockey stagnant Victoria. Matt and Curtis play in their 1st full tourny in almost 2 years, and Kevin did real good too! A shifty trade before round 1 saw the Leafs end up sitting out the tournament, Oh Snap! After 3 rounds of head busting, Noel's Blue Jackets faced off against Curtis' Red Wings. The "Navy Blazers" won 6-2 and advanced to the finals. Kevins #2 Sabres lost 3-1 to Matts Predators. The finals was a wild affair, with the Blue Jackets breaking a 3-3 tie to win 5-3. Matt suffered his 100th career loss in the final game.
Mar 23, 2007 Tournament #239. 3 Players: Noel, Corey, Ryan Bo. Hosted by Anaheim. This tournament started on Dec 16, 06 and finally ended on Mar 23, 07 - making it the longest ever. After 2 regular rounds and a third double round, Noel's #1 Oilers would play Corey's #2 Kings. Noel won 5-2, and waited for the winner of the Kings vs Ryan's Nordiques. Corey beat Ryan 1-0 to advance to the Finals. The Final was the best game of the long tourny. Noel scored 3 goals, but still had to hang on for a 3-2 Oilers win over Coreys Kings. We need more table hockey players in Victoria. Geographically, this was the farthest west tournament ever played, (some of it anyway (Ryan's games-room))
Dec 31, 2006 Tournament #238. 8 Players: Noel, Tim, Donnie, Kevin, Junior, Shawn, Trevor, Curtis. Hosted by Hartford. Noel wins the All-Star Game by not being bumped off the board. Curtis played only 2 games, with Atlanta, and didn't finish the tourny. Junior and Shawn were both rookies to the game. Trevor finished his 7 games with 1.5 pts total - possibly (probably) the worst ever - but he did win the ugly sweater award later that night. After 2 rounds Trevors #7 Colorado faced Shawns #6 San Jose to qualify for the playoffs. Shawn won 2-1 and then faced Donnie and the #3 Flyers. Donnie won 3-0. Junior's #5 Coyotes beat Kevin's #4 Senators 1-0. The Coyotes then faced Tim with his #1 Blackhawks, and were messed up pretty good, 8-2. #2 Noel took out Donnie with the Oilers 4-2 to advance to the Finals. The Final game of 2006 was also the best game of the year. Noel scored with about 30 seconds left to win 1-0 over Tim. Tim finally got a trophy for one of the years Retro X-Mas tournys. Noel: 3 Coleco Stanley Cups & 1 Abbott St. All-Star Trophy, Greg: 1 Stiga Stanley Cup & 1 Coleco Runner Cup, Aaron: 1 Coleco Runner Cup, Tim: 1 Coleco Runner Cup.

Dec 26, 2006 Tournament #236. 4 Players: Noel, Tim, Greg, Aaron. Hosted by Calgary (pt2). A return to Ontario brings us this 6 hour Coleco/Stiga double header. In Coleco: All teams wore either retro or alternate uniforms. After 3 rounds of play Noel's #1 Oilers took out Tim's #4 Capitals 3-0. The Oilers had previously beat all 3 opponents in round robin play. Aaron's #3 Thrashers upset Greg's #2 Mighty Ducks 5-4 in OT. Greg played too well during the regular season, so he had to lose in the playoffs. The Finals was an intense game, which ended 3 seconds into OT. The Oilers beat Atlanta 5-4 in OT. On the Stiga side, Aarons #1 LA Kings got upset by Gregs Quebec Nordiques. Noel was hoping to continue his Stiga dominance, but His #3 Dallas Stars were brought down by Tim's #2 Boston Bruins 3-1. Since Greg had played so terribly in Stiga that day, it was only logical that he beat Tim in the Finals...and he did. Every player but Tim won a trophy today.
Oct 17 to Dec 14, 2006 Tournament #235. 4 Players: Noel, Corey, James, Brian. Hosted by Buffalo. This is the first full tourny to be played since the league has moved to Victoria, BC. Although this ranks as one of the worst tournaments ever, it shows that anything can be salvaged...kinda. Round 1 was completed between the 4 players from Oct 17 to Dec 1. After that, James moved to Edmonton, and Brian was never heard from again. Corey adopted James' and Brians' top 3 teams, and along with his top 3, played Noel's top 3, three times each. Corey's top 3 of 9 went on to play Noel's #4 team. In the end it worked out that Noel's New York Rangers would face the Winnipeg Jets in the finals. NYR won 5-0. Expect better things over the next little while, as a visit home to Brockville is planned....
June 10, 2006 Tournament #234. 3 Players: Noel, Aaron, Tim. Hosted by Calgary (pt 1). Tim wins the All Star Game, where allowing 3 goals gets you eliminated. Noel took both games of the finals: 3-2 in OT and 7-3, and the Red Wings won the Stanley Cup. Noel wins with a team other than one of his favorite five (EDM, MIN, CBJ, NYR, CAR) for the 1st time since Dec 26, 2003. Tim hasnt missed the Finals in a tourny he's played in since #200.

In the playoffs: Noel's #1 Carolina Hurricanes beat Aaron's #2 Ottawa Senators 4-2, to advance to the Finals. Scott's #3 Chicago Blackhawks then lost 5-2 to the Sens, giving them a second chance in the finals. Noel took both games of the finals: 5-1 and 4-1, as Carolina upgraded their Runner cup to the Stanley Cup. Lack of practice + alcohol + HNIC on TV + random play music = fun times.
Mar 5, 2006 Tournament #232. 5 Players: Noel, Tim, Aaron, Donnie, Curtis. For the first time some old members meet some new members. Hosted by NYI (pt 1). Some round robin antics included one of Donnie's NJ players breaking in half, and Noel scoring 10 goals on Curtis. Aaron faced off with Tim for the 1st time since Dec 2004. For the playoffs: Donnie's #4 New Jersey Devils played a deflated #5 Curtis and Colorado. NJ wins 3-1. Aaron's #2 Dallas Stars were seeing stars after Tim layed down some capital punishment, winning 7-2 with #3 Washington. Noel's #1 Hurricanes blew away Donnie's Devils 4-2, to face Tim in the Finals. In game 1: Noel blew a 3-0 lead to lose 5-4 in OT. In game 2 Tim felt what a 7-2 loss was like. In game 3 the favor was returned, and Tim won 7-3, giving the Washington Capitals the Stanley Cup. "Kevin would be proud." Carolina has been in 3 of the last 6 Finals. Curtis says: "Thanks for handing my ass to me."
Feb 7, 2006 Tournament # 231. 3 players: Noel, Matt, Curtis. Hosted by San Jose, this tourny was played like the last one, with a shorter break between rounds 1 and 2. Noel put on a clinic, especially with Minnesota and Edmonton, destroying opponents. For the playoffs, Noel's Minnesota beat Matt's Calgary to advance directly to the finals. Curtis' Montreal beat Matt in game 1, but the Flames came back with 2 wins to knock off the Canadiens. The Wild then swept the Flames 2-0 in the finals. Matt played 6 straight playoff games. Noel had 86 GF, 46 GA. Anahiem reaches a record 139 tournaments without a pennant win.

Nov 13, 2004 Tournament # 190. 2 players: Noel, Aaron. Hosted by Stanley Cup Champion New York Rangers. The Rangers went on to win this tournament with a huge home ice advantage. After crushing Hartford 9-2, they tied CGY, beat ATL in overtime, then swept Aaron's Flyers 2-0 in the finals. NYR had the same record and point total as tournament #189. The All Star game was played on the Halex 3d Super Dome. Noel wins 10-6. If Aaron is to win tournaments, he'd better bring teams he actually likes into the finals.
Nov 6, 2004 Tournament # 189. 2 players: Noel, Aaron. Hosted by Phoenix, this tournament also marked the 175th anniversary of CGY, HAR, QUE and WIN. These teams (plus EDM and VAN) brought out their retro uniforms to celebrate. Aaron wins the All-Star game 4-3, had a better record, but lost the finals 2-0 to Noel's New York Rangers. You play better when you have teams you like. It didnt help that his finals team was Chicago.
Oct 23, 2004 Tournament # 188. 3 players: Noel, Aaron, Dustin. All games were played on Power Play 2 game, which brought out much anger and frustration due to the crazy playing style and weird goals of that game. Noel brought Columbus into the quarter finals vs Aarons Atlanta. The winner of the 1 game series was Atlanta, who advanced directly to the finals. Noel then played Dustin's Chicago in a best of 3 semi finals, winning 2-0. The best of 3 finals went to Noel's Columbus, eventually, beating Atlanta 2-1. This is the 4th time these two teams have met in the finals (CBJ is 3-1). Atlanta was the host of a new formatted All Star Game. Everyone plays on the Coleco Game Room. Whoever scores stays on, most goals after 6 minuutes wins. Aaron 7 GF, Noel 2 GF, Dustin 0 GF.
Oct 16, 2004 Tournament # 187. 3 players: Noel, Aaron, Dustin. Dustin wins his 2nd tournament, again with the Calgary Flames. Calgary beat Aaron's Ottawa Senators 2-1 in the best of 3 finals, after beating Noel's Maple Leafs 2-1 in a best of 3. The Sens also beat the Leafs because Toronto is the biggest playoffs choke in the league. Dustin may have replaced Greg as a member, having only 2 wins in 16 round robin games, then winning the playoffs.
Oct 9, 2004 Tournament # 186. 4 players: Noel, Scott, Aaron, Dustin. This was an enjoyable tournament. Scott selected Detroit 1st because they were the easiest to reach from where he stood. Scott also won #86 with Toronto,(their last championship). Beacause the Maple Leafs hadn't won in 99 tournaments, it was enevitable that they would play well. Noel brought Toronto to the finals after beating Aaron's Runner Cup Capitals. Scott's Red Wings defeated Dustin's Flyers, then the Maple Leafs in the finals.
Oct 2, 2004 Tournament # 185. 2 players: Noel vs Aaron. In the 3rd round Noel had Min., CBJ, and Edm. Aaron had Van., Ott., and Washington. Finally our favorite teams are doing well after 2 not so good tournaments. Of course Washington had to spoil it. It was announced that this was to be the last tournament for the Capitals (and possibly Phoenix)and Aaron took Washington to the finals where they were swept by Minnesota 2-0. Since they hold the Runner Cup, Washington will be in the next tournament. The league will be resized from 32 to 30 teams soon.
Sept 18, 2004 Tournament # 184. 3 players: Noel, Aaron, Dustin. After Dustin's first appearance in #182, we thought we had a good new rookie. 5 of his 6 wins were against Amanda, so the true challenge was this tournament. In the playoffs: Aarons Thrashers were bumped to the semi-final round by Dustin's Flames, who advanced to the finals. Noel's Devils then knocked out the Thrashers for good, but couldn't put out the Flames. Dustin wins his 1st tournament, beating Noel 2-1 in best of 3 final. Derek has been the only other rookie player to win in his second tournament.
Sept 11, 2004 Tournament # 183. 2 players: Noel vs Aaron. What two teams would you never want to watch in the Stanley Cup Finals? Well if Carolina vs Dallas was your answer, stop reading now. On Sept 11th, NYR and NYI were the first two teams eliminated from the tournament. This was a cruel tournament.

Calgary is the 1st Runner Cup winner to return to the playoffs, finals, or win the Stanley Cup. All players had even .500 records. Its the first time thats ever happened. Plus, Tim becomes the first players to score with his goalie on the Game Room. Lots of records today in both Coleco and Stiga.
