Baby Taft Finds a Home
On August 1, 2001, I got to move out of GDB's kennel. I liked kennel life ok. I got to sleep when I wanted, go inside or out, play with my hanging kong and play with the puppy walkers. But all that cement gets old after a while! I didn't know it, but Mom came to meet me before I went home with her. She took some pictures and told me how cute I was. Little did I know what she had in store for me!

Mom told me that we were going to live together for a year or so. I don't know what she has planned for me after that, but I think I have a big year ahead of me! When we got home, she showed me all these new things to play with. Toys are so much fun! Still don't understand why she gets so excited when I potty outside though. She always goes on and on about what a good boy I am. I don't get it, but it's fun! I think I'll try to do that all the time!

This new mom person gets stranger all the time. She put me in this silly hat on my first day! Did she really expect me to look excited about wearing this thing? Then she started making that thing flash...

The day after I met Mom, we went on a short trip to meet my aunt and uncle. Mom says I should call them Aunt Susan and Uncle No-Rules. Aunt Susan is OK, but Uncle No-Rules does great things -like wrestle with me! This could be fun!
I don't know what all the next year has in store for me, but Mom says we will have lots of fun. She says she has a lot to teach me before I head back to the kennel. She talks about taking me all sorts of places with her. I'm looking forward to it! But first, I think I need to get lots of sleep!
