It's Tough Being Taft

I'm at it again! Back to update you on my life. I'm bigger than ever -and cuter too! So far, I've learned a lot about going out into public, being good and not getting distracted by my surroundings. As much as I have learned so far, there is always more for me to improve upon. Mom is one of those weepy types -we sit together every night and talk about what I will do as a guide dog. She always looks like that makes her sad, but she tells me it doesn't.  I will get to do lots of exciting things when I'm a guide dog and will be very important in someone's life. I can't wait to go to college and finish my training! These are some of the things that we have done recently to help me get ready for college.

Mom took me into San Francisco for an appointment. After we got all the business taken care of, we got to go play. There was tons of stuff to see at Pier 39! I've never seen so many birds in my life! And what was with that silver guy dancing on the milk crate?? There were so many things to look at that I didn't spend any time looking at the camera! All those sealions were neat! But boy were they loud! I really wanted to bark at them to talk back, but I know that Mom expects me to be quiet when we are working. Even if I couldn't talk back, those things sure were fun to watch! Next time, I hope it is warmer so I can take a swim with them.

Georgie and I have learned to sleep together without bothering each other. That makes Mom happy. But, whenever we cuddle like this, she always gets that silly camera out! Can't a dog rest in peace??
I'm a dog in a box! This is where I would sit after Mom would give me a bath at work. She says that most dogs get as far away from the blower as possible. What goofballs! Don't they know that the blowing gets them dry?? I liked to sit with my nose against the cage door, breathing in the warm air of the blower. It's nice to sleep with that warm air blowing on you. Do you think I can convince mom to install one of these things by my dog bed at home??
