Would you believe this is the ONLY picture of Takeru I own without Hikari in it?

Takaishi Takeru, or 'TK' from hereon in (the full name's always been a bit of a mouthful for me) is one of the cutest little guys you're ever likely to see in Digimon.  He's incredibly sweet and innocent, sometimes annoyingly so.  I have spoken to people who find his crying pretty frustrating.  TK's the only digidestined who was completely involved with Digimon Adventure from start to finish, though.  He's also had many experiences that a lot of the others haven't - having the last digimon to digivolve, for example.  Also hatching baby digimon, fighting with his digimon and having his digimon die.  And all before we really knew anything about the darn things.
In 02 TK seems to grow up a bit.  He seems to go a bit nuts during the BlackWarGreymon era, much to Iori's consternation.  He's generally a bit more angsty than usual.  He fights with Daisuke a bit... oh, and he had that ever-so-memorable fight with the Kaiser.  ^___^  To be honest, though, TK has never really interested me that much, so I can't say much for his personality.  But the crest of Hope, an angel digimon... what more do you need to know?

In the romance department there seems to be little TK pairings outside of Takari (that's Takeru and Hikari, in case you're totally out of the loop).  On closer inspection, however, one can find numerous TK pairings in the yaoi genre.  There's TK x Iori (jogress), TK x Daisuke (rivalry) and TK x Ken (the infamous fist fight).  So although it's obvious from the show and the fans that TK's affections lie with Kari, people can certainly see him getting around with a few others.  Well, he seems to like the other boys in his age group - what about the digidestined older than himself?

Takechi

Well, they seem to be pretty friendly, don't they?  Taichi and Takeru have interacted together since the very beginning of series one.  TK has always looked up to Taichi and Tai was sort of like a big brother to TK (yeah, another one).  He was a much more reliable guardian than Yamato, at any rate.  Tai found TK when he had become separated from Yamato (after Etemon's defeat) and looked after him then, eventually reuniting the brothers.  He also kept an eye on the younger boy (sort of) when Yamato went soul-searching during the Dark Masters disaster.  So they had a fair bit of contact in 01.
In 02 there was relatively little, with the notable exceptions of their exploits in France during the Digimon World Tour.  The two of them talked a lot, rode in Old Mr Takaishi's bike together and vied for the attention of the lovely French girl, Catherine.  No, it's not much in the way of evidence, but it shows that they still get along very well together.
Taichi and Takeru are great friends and are very familiar with one another.  I can easily see the two of them making a couple.

Yamakeru

Um... can I just say 'ew'?  Yaoi or yuri is one thing, but even crossbreeding (that's human x digimon couples) fans tend to cringe a little at the idea of incest.  *shudders*  I'm sorry, but I'm not even going to contemplate what could happen here.  Next question, please!

Sokeru

Like Taichi and Yamato, Sora is a parent/sibling figure to TK.  I tend to place her closer to Yamato than Tai, though; she's never going to be anything more than that.  Yeah, they have one or two cute moments in 01 but those are still sibling-esqe ones (Besides, Takeru was eight years old.  He probably still thought love was icky.).  It's a vaguely nice idea, but I don't see it ever taking place.

So the winner is... Takechi!  Like nobody could see THAT coming.  Besides the fact that I can pair anybody with Taichi, I don't think Sora would ever be more than a mother figure to TK and as for Yamakeru... well, the less said about that, the better.
