Profiles"Hooray! A whole house full of pizza? Oh, shut up, Izzy, who cares about Piedmon? We've got eating to do!"

Now, I'm sure we've all seen this profile stuff before.  You probably know more about these kids than most profiles put in anyway.  In fact, if you're anything like me, you'll skip the profile part every single time you go into a fansite of any description.  But profiles have become one of the fundamentals of every shrine, character, couple or otherwise.  So I'll try to keep this short so that you can get on with the rest of the site.  'Kay?
PS: I'm really only talking about how these three were in 01, since they weren't really mains in 02.

Yagami Taichi

At first glance, Taichi seems a pretty simple character.  Hotheaded, bossy and sometimes quite reckless.  As time goes by, however, everyone pretty much accepts him as the leader, even though Yamato disagrees on many occasions.
Most of the time it seems like that's basically all that Tai is.  But if you look closer you can see that sometimes there's a lot more to him than that.  He sometimes focuses too much on winning, like the time he tried forcing Agumon to digivolve and ended up with SkullGreymon.  And at times the crest of Courage seems just a little ill-suited to him.  We all remember 'Prisoner of the Pyramid', don't we?  Plus there's that whole business with Hikari.
What I'm basically trying to say is that despite what he sometimes appears, Taichi is a character with a lot of depth and despite the responsibility, he's the best leader that the digidestined could ask for.

Ishida Yamato

Ever since Yamato first appeared on my TV screen I've found him an absolutely fascinating character.  For a long time I was never really able to understand him and in a way I still don't.  But I will try to do my best to make some sort of sense.
Yamato is one of those dark and brooding sorts of characters, often deep in thought and hiding what he really feels.  It's generally agreed that this is due to his parent's divorce, which he took pretty hard because he's such a sensitive guy.  His overprotective attitude towards Takeru may stem from the fact that he doesn't spend a lot of time with his brother and probably doesn't even know him that well.  He isn't the only one looking out for TK, though, just about every one of the other Digidestined had a hand in looking after the younger blonde. This, for me, was one of the single most magnificent things about 02. Just look, it's so beautiful... If only I were holding it instead of Yama (yes, I mean the guitar)
For quite a while the crest of Friendship seemed a rather strange choice for a boy who distances himself from others as much as possible.  But in this we see one of the more interesting aspects of the crests - sometimes, they actually help a character to realise something about themselves and change their personalities accordingly.
Sometimes Yamato's dark and depressing moods annoy me and I just want to yell at him to snap out of it.  But he is a pretty cool character and Digimon Adventure wouldn't be the same without him (or his fangirls - *groan*)

Takenouchi Sora

Sora is one of those people that fans love to hate.  Me, I'm one of the few Sora fans left on the digi-net.  She's my absolute favourite character and she always has been.  So I guess I have a bit of explaining to do.
Just like with Yamato I had a lot of trouble pinning Sora's character down.  She's a tomboy, yet she mothers people.  She plays soccer and arranges flowers.  She's a living contradiction at times.  And I love her for it.
See, strange as it may seem, the first thing that really hit me about Sora was that she's just like me.  All my life I've been trying to come off as a tomboy.  I always wear pants, I watched Batman instead of Sailor Moon and I've always preferred football over netball.  But at the same time I can understand the way Sora mothers everyone else, because I'm a little like that myself.Biyomon, that's the last time you're EVER drinking red cordial, you hear me?
Sora sort of understands people.  She thinks a lot about their personalities and what they do in certain situations.  She tries to see why people are the way they are.  And although sometimes she gets it wrong, it's a good trait to have.
And the crest of love?  Well, at first it would seem a strange choice for a tomboyish sort of person.  Sora certainly didn't think she deserved it and didn't think she knew how to love.  But she learned.  And despite some of the things that people say about Sora, I think that there is no crest that suits her better.
