| The only picture I was able to take is of the Altar de Sao Bento, "one of the largest objects the Guggenheim Museum has exhibited. This altarpiece is borrowed from the church of Sao Bento, a Baroque church in the city of Olinda in northeast Brazil. It has undergone months of restoration and will be returned to the church at the close of the exhibition." (October 20, 2001) |
