Take 5 is yet another product of the hit making "boy band factory" at Orlando, Fl - based Trans Continental Records, former home of the Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync, and current home of teen heartthrobs L.F.O. and O- Town. Take 5 began in 1997, when T.J. Christofore and Clay Goodell, two fresh - faced lads from Minnesota, moved to Orlando to try and find a career in show business. At an audition for a commercial, they ran into Stevie Sculthorpe and Tilky Jones, and discovered that they had common interests. The four decided to put a band together and, with the addition of the bass voice of Goodell's older brother Ryan, Take 5 was born. Following a period of extensive touring overseas, the band's debut album, Against All Odds, was released in late summer 2000 on Elektra Entertainment. |
