McKinley, Wyoming

Drummond, Montana

John notes that Allie is weak.

Charlie is visibly agitated at John's presense. He demands why he's here, John explains that they're just trying to understand everything, just like scientists try to understand everything on earth.

(This exchange is interspersed with Chet and Mary musing about why Aliens are here)

Allie is to go with the Aliens, despite Lisa's objections. John explains that she can't stay: using her powers on earth will kill her. Lisa says that John's inflicted enough pain.

Chet and Mary talk about "Doing their part"

Charlie and Allie want things to go back to normal.

Charlie and Lisa hear from Tom.

Gray's Lake, Idaho

Tom sees John get out of the truck.

Tom uses friends, Charlie, Lisa, and Allie are to relocate in South America.

Allie explains that she doesn't want to hurt others. She could have used her power to make the kids at the gas station kill each other.

John says things are going to get hard for Allie, despite Allie's desire to stay with mom and dad. John gives his "Lone Star" to Allie. Lisa looks in the RV's rear view mirror and see's John's alien form.

Chet shows up in an attempt to abduct Allie, citing that Mary can keep Allie safe. Mary gets Lisa and Allie into her car, John blows the tires. Charlie runs after them, throws Mary to the ground and gets Lisa and Allie to safety.

Charlie and Lisa ask John if they can shut off Allie's signal. John explains that only Allie has that strength. Lisa is worried that Allie doesn't have it.

Twin Falls, Idaho

Chet and Mary are working, Chet knows that they've shut off Allie's signal. Mary Admits she can't let Allie go. It's like Medusa, she'll turn to stone if she doesn't know the secret. Chet says they're nothing but spectators, if they try to be anything more, they turn to stone. Mary won't give up.

Lubbock, Texas

Everyone reconvenes at the Clarke family home in Lubbock. John has to leave Allie. She needs an opportunity to be a little girl again. John says "Call if you need us".

Hindsight is always 20/20: if he had to do it all over, he would not have done it, but it was nice to see Allie. John leaves, Allie follows to the edge of the woods. John stops "Projecting" and we see his alien form. He walks into light in the forest. Allie walks back to the house and collapses in the yard. Lisa picks her up and brings her into the house.

Charlie and Lisa discuss John and his leaving them. "He's giving us all a chance".

Charlie and Tom are being photographed by electricians (as far fetched as it seems, it's in my notes!).

Mary and Chet find out that Tom owns the family farm in Lubbock. Chet calls the house and leaves a message on the machine. Mary shoots him in the back.

General Beers is given jurisdiction over Chet's murder and notes how much of a cold-hearted, nasty person Mary is, just as she shows up.

Lisa and Tom are discussing Chet's message.

General Beers has Mary arrested. People are monitoring sightings of lights and they wonder if Allie is still turned off.

Mary tells Beers that they're going to have to work with her. Se has pictures of Tom and Charlie, therefore leveraging her position and staying on the team.

Military is getting their force together.

Charlie, Lisa, and Tom are discussing where they should go, what they should do, Tom places a call to a friend of his.

Will Jeffries, who broadcasts a radio show from a motor home, says that Allie holds the key to these abductions. He tells everyone to drive to Texas, be a witness. The next morning, a caravan of people show up at the Clarke family farm.

Allie is receiving medical treatment and can't diagnose her problem.

Nina shows up at the door, the whole therapy group is talking to the crowd.

The military shows up and sets up a stronghold. They are instructed to treat the situation as a riot situation.

Chet sends a video message, just in case he's "Deleted" by Mary. He tells Mary that he thinks the Aliens are asking the same questions we are: why do we do the things we do? Allie belongs with them, the alien knowledge can destroy us, look at Chet. Is Mary actually feeling remorse and showing tears?

The Therapy group is armed to the hilt, though Allie doesn't want violence. Allie wants to talk, she reassures them that they don't have to be scared anymore. Allie has something to give them. She shuts off their transmitters and they all fall out. The whole crowd has nosebleeds.

Allie explains that she's the end result of years of abductions. The military shows up at the "convention" as if there's a riot going on. Charlie convinces them to stand together.

Allie asks about Charlie being family, "Yes" Should she reactivate to save the crowd? The military is advancing, while William Jeffries is calling the "Play By Play". Allie explains that it would happen all over again.

They will always be family.

Mary and the General see the artifact go crazy.

Allie just wants to be a little girl.

The craft appears in the sky. Is she really going this time? Allie remains silent.

The artifact continues to go crazy

Allie says goodbyes to everyone, it's quite emotional. She walks into the crowd, and the crowd is mesmerized by the UFO formations overhead.

Mary assures the General that this is all very real.

Lisa and Charlie run after Allie.

Mary realizes that Allie and the knowledge of everything belongs to them.

General Beers doesn't want them to take the artifact back, but it's too late as the Artifact disappears.

Allie is taken, everyone is very emotional.

Allie has a monologue about life, asking questions, not knowing the answers, but still striving to see what's over the next hill.

There are interviews with the crowd about what they just saw.

The parents slipped away in the mayhem. They're alone with Tom, who hands them Allie's journal and the lone star earring, which signifies that she'll return.

There's nothing beyond the sky, it just goes on and on. And we play all of our games beneath it.
