Mary is inside the UFO

General Beers and Dr. Wakeman are unsure what to do.

Lisa and Charlie are trying to get to Allie.

A recon team is surrounding the spacecraft. Lisa and Charlie walk down the hill, Lisa feels her connection to Allie growing stronger. The recon team is looking for an opening into the craft when a door opens. They lose the picture at the base camp. The guard's mother walks out and offers everyone cookies. The men follow her in.

Aboard the craft, "Pierce" has a couple of cookies, another soldier assures him that it's not his mother, and fires a couple of rounds. She shows up standing next to him saying "you'll shoot your eye out". Pierce has a cookie, mom brushes the crumbs off of him.

Charlie and Lisa are walking down the side of the hill, Lisa hears "1000 voices at once", and Allie is breathing hard.

Mary is wandering the halls of the spacecraft and sees her Grandfather.

Charlie and Lisa are discovered.

Mary is offered a cookie by Owen, and she screens memories. His advice to his granddaughter? The power this knowledge brings: be a part of this power at all costs, she doesn't need that doctor boyfriend of hers, she needs to trust her gut. Mary asks Owen what he saw in Jacob that frightend him so bad. He has her look into his eyes, she is scared and crawls on the ground in sheer terror. Owen offers another cookie.

Charlie and Lisa are detained and taken to a shed. Lisa is hearing voices, Allie is breathing hard.

On the ship, Walker sees cockroaches everywhere, but realizes that everything is in his head. Mary is still in terror, soldiers confront all fears and all memories, shooting at the aliens.

Lisa begins breathing heavily. The ship lights up, clanging noise. Lisa stands as the craft levitates and takes off. Lisa is breathing very hard. The craft leaves. Soldiers and Mary are left behind.

The soldiers clean up, Beers finds the artifact. He calls for Wakeman. They show the artifact to Allie. Beers wants to know what it is, nobody is cooperating. They get into trucks.

General Beers, Lt. Pierce, Charlie, and Lisa get in a separate truck from the others. On a separate truck, Mary refuses to tell Chet what she experienced on the craft. Chet is still excited.

Mary has the driver stop, and turn around. She knows where Allie is.

Charlie and Lisa come up missing, Mary can explain, but Gen. Beers isn't going to like it.

They go back, the house is still there, the soldiers are surrounding it. Their imaginations were controlled. Chet explains that they were fooled, plain and simple.

In the truck with Charlie and Lisa, Lt. Pierce, and General Beers, Charlie fights Pierce to find his daughter, and General Beers ends up being Allie.

"If I made them think I was taken, they would stop looking for me, and everything would go back to normal."

Meanwhile, General Beers is pissed off at Chet's smart-aleck comments and punches him in the face.

Pierce arrives at the house explaining that he had been overpowered. Mary talks to Pierce, she knows Pierce helped them escape and knows that Pierce can be trusted.

Outside Halsey Nebraska

Lisa is talking about the Allie-Jacob connection. They want to know who can help, and they call "Jeffrey's" radio show and relay a message.

Chet finally confronts Mary about her experience. She gives in and explains that life is a minefield. The older you get, the more mines are planted. She saw all her mines, saw where it all ends, saw what stopped her grandfather but won't stop her. Her destiny lies in that artifact.

Seattle - Allie's birthday, "Stay with us, Allie" "I can't!". The dream sequence ends with Charlie saying that there's got to be a way to stop this.

Mary explains that the families knew each other, and explained the Allie-Artifact importance. Mary asks Allie to read the artifact. Allie sees the future. Allie wants to stay with Lisa.

Charlie drives off - wont belong in store. Reward for girl or parents. Get out of camp. Charlie Exprienced.

Chet wants to translate what the artifact records.

State Highway 2 - Gas Station in Dawes County Nebraska

Charlie takes money and truck to wheel and deal with a salesperson. The salesperson gets on the phone. A cop car turns around, Charlie ducks into the diner. He ends up dumping a mess on a customer and steals a Dodge Durango.

Lisa gives Allie her journal. A car shows up, she investigates. Allie hides around the corner, a light shows up, and Allie goes to the door. We see John, "Hello Allie..." Lisa sees the light in the woods and runs inside. She see's John. His proof is the star earring given to him by her grandmother years ago.

Kids show up from trucks, armed (the appearance of the kids and their trucks makes one great impression of what the rest of the world thinks of rural Nebraska...). They want the girl for the reward. John comes outside to take care of the situation. His eyes turn black and scares the kids. The kids shoot John, and Allie runs outside to make a truck explode.

Understandably, Charlie wants nothing to do with John, but they take him with anyways.

Chet and mary take a guess as to what happened, they talk about Allie's location and muse about their relationship.
