I thought it was worth it. Many say that they would die for the sake of their one true love. How many would kill for that one as well? I would… I did. And the ring came to me. It offered itself up for me.
But my family could not forgive my deeds and the ring drove me to do other things as well. They would have taken it from me had they known. But it was my love, and I could not let them do that. So I left it all behind. The ring and I found a nice quiet cave where we could be together forever. It did not matter that the surrounding caves belonged to the goblins now. With my precious by my side, I could do anything. And I did.
But love is a dangerous thing. I stopped paying so much attention to my love now. And so, my precious – my love – left me. For another of my race of old, it left me. Oh, how I hated that treacherous ring. But I hated that thief even more. How dare he steal from me the only thing in my life worth living for? I would kill him for it. And then I would hide my love away so that no living being would ever see it again.
But oh, how I hated my love even more for making me go back to that heartless world. The torture I went through to find it. And then, to find out that it had been passed on from one thief to another, like so much rubbish and trash. The cruel hobbits would pay. I loved my precious more than any of them.
And then I was caught by the very one who held my love in his hands. Oh the cruelty of fate, that I should have to show them the direction that would lead my love to its death! No, I would show them the way, but I had my own plans for the end of the road. My love and I would soon be reunited and never again would we part.
