This was my first Nexus thread, and it begins with my first Nexus post. (It's not *the* first Nexus thread, mind you.) It's also, as the title implies, the first appearance of Joe Black. I don't think it's my best work -- indeed, I *hope* my writing's much improved -- but it still has a special place in my heart.
I guess that's really all there is to say, except that I couldn't have done it without my co-writers, and I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as we did writing it. But I guess that goes for *all* writing, huh? *grin*
