Famous Cases

Lincoln's Ghost

The tales of Lincoln's ghost haunting the White House are imfamous now, but a new question arises. Just how long had Lincoln's ghost been around? And in how many areas?

The Borely Rectory

I've done some hunting and found some famous hauntings. One of the most famous that comes to mind is the Borley Rectory Haunting. It's a controversial topic among the haunted world because of those that saw, and investigated it. Personally, from all the material I've read, I don't think the Borley RECTORY was haunted. I think the Church IS! Think about, who wants to go to a church that's haunted? In that day and age anyway. I don't think it would have been a booming parish if it were to become known that a ghost haunted the chapel. It makes perfect sense to me. In reading books and articles on the subject it seems that things at the rectory were faked, where as accounts of the Church are heart stoppingly real. Check it out and make your own opinions...

The Amityville Horror

If you've been ALIVE for the past 20 years you've at least HEARD of Amityville, what with the books and movies out. Personally I've watched only one movie and that was enough for me. Yes, I like to scare the hell outta myself but I have a REALLY over active imagination and I hate having nightmares. What I found interesting here was how the author of this web page has broken down the whole Amityville story giving it's history, motives and basically every piece of media that's been published, or shown on it. If nothing else it's very involved, maybe a great idea for a paper....

Paramount Studios Ghost's

This sight has some interesting stories from Hollywood. Isn't it great to know some of the famous, from the screen wander about still looking for fame? There's a few ghost's roaming about including what some believe to be Rudolph Valentino. I'm surprised there's not more on it but then again, Hollywood doesn't self promote much, otherwise all those little skeletons might peep out...

Ghosts of London

This sight has a basic quick run down on some ghosts that haunt London. I'm looking for more information concerning the Tower of London, so if you know where it might be located on the net please tell me. Since the European ghosts are quite old, I find them fascinating. Besides which, the Tower of London held some impressive people from Sir Walter Raleigh to Queen Anne Bolin (one of the Henry VIII seven). It's also said to be the playground of two little princes who were killed for the throne. I'd go into detail but have a really faulty memory and so would like to further research it!

The Stanley Hotel

Yes the famed hotel from Stephen King's the Shinning. So far I've only linked to some photo's courtesy of Karen's Ghost Page, but I'm looking for more as I write this. Speaking of the Shinning my comparative of the movies. The ABC series was more in depth on characters and made them more worthy I guess one would say. The movie always confounded me with the "let's move" and "Who ISN'T possessed now!?" suddenness. At least while watching the ABC series, I received some information that had not been in the original. All this is because I took the lazy man's root and didn't want to hunt down a copy of the Shinning in book form...

Prairie Ghosts

Here you'll find real hauntings and current investigations. From tales about cemetery ghosts to backhill regions of the US. Troy runs a haunted tour through Decatur, IL and presents here alot of the information on hauntings in Illinois as well as through other parts of the country. Check it out, I think you'll enjoy it!
