Synergy

Personality: Renee wants to make a difference in the world but is unsure how to go about it. Can be impulsive at times and feels very strongly about protecting innocents .

Brief History:
Renee was in her sophomore year at Paragon City University when the Rikti attacked. Working late in the universitys high-energy research facility, she was in the process of running several tests on the facilities experimental synergistic energy generator when one of the Riktis attack craft crashed into the facility.

The damage inflicted by the crafts impact caused the generator to overload and explode, encompassing Renee and everything with 800 meters of the facility in a blast of pure energy. Miraculously Renee survived and was eventually rescued by a group of heroes returning from the front lines. She was treated for her injuries and evacuated out with the rest of the civilians.

For the rest of the war Renee did what she could to help, mostly assisting in re-uniting families that had been separated during the fighting. When the war was over, Renee continued helping through the relief agencies dedicated to helping people recover from the war.

It was during this time that she ran afoul of a local gang. Had it not been for the sudden manifestation of her abilities the gang would have killed her, or worse. However, as much of a blessing they proved to be, her abilities also proved to be a magnet for crooks and thugs, super or otherwise. Unsure of her abilities and wanting to protect those around her who might be harmed by those stalking her, Renee decided to head to Paragon City in hopes of learning to better control and use her abilities.
