PV2 Worent

Ah, my old roommate up at Alpha battery before I was moved to a room in the battery that I am actually part of. I think I will always remember my time when I lived in the same room with him as the most enjoyable part of my tour here aside from when I got cable internet access in my new room. He certainly thinks outside the Army’s box and couldn’t care less about being recklessly motivated like they expect sometimes. Generally a gentle and easy going person, he and I shared many calm discussions about our different religious views and once he got a chess board he would always eagerly beat me whenever I gave him the chance. Since I moved out and he has two new greasy roommates that apparently dominate the room, he has told me he certainly misses the old days when we could watch a movie together in the quiet controlled environment and then retire at 2130 or so. Yes, they were the best days in the Army when my roommate didn’t insist on keeping the lights on until midnight with the TV just as loud as could be nearly every night he was not off post. But Worent and I shared a bond that I haven’t developed with many. A selfless understanding and desire to be fair to one another that is often so hard to balance mutually. I still greet him readily whenever I see him loose in pre-formation before his FDC section falls in or when I am just biking around and he happens to be out on a walk.
