The TallTexians Memorial site to those who served to honor our people, is such a wonderul way to have honored them lost to war. If it were not for the soldiers of our country, for the patriotism they have shown, this land, this country, would not have any freedom. Those that do not salute and rise proudly when our flag is raised, are not the kind of people that serve our patriots well. I cry when the National Anthem is played and wish them all well. We should all salute these men and women who have gave their lives or have given their time for us. Salute those that came home and tell them how thankful we are for their courage and service to all of us. And try not to forget to mention the time that they gave up with their families and tell their families as well. Thank you for having a site in the honor of those countrymen.

Hello, I liked the memorial & dedication page and the links I saw. I'm a Texas Vet. Joined in 74, and the boot camp class just prior to ours was the last one sent to Viet Nam, so I did not serve there, but was willing to, and have great respect and honor or those who did. I recently have been through my own ordeal, when I had to shoot and stop a human predator who shot my love, Joy, murdering her and shooting me 3 times. Though shot in the chest, I was able to get to a weapon, but was shot again twice more in the mouth bef re I was able to return fire, shooting him 5 times in the gut. He was later convicted of murder and attempted murder, and received 2 life sentences. Physically, I am better now, but the horror has given me a new depth of perspective on the horrors my friends and other vets faced. I have renewed respect and feeling for you all!
