SKIES
Keep going, just keep breathing
Keep on walking where you will
Pull away from all that binds you
Fight against what holds you still.
Leaving everyone who hates you
Those who silenced all your screams,
Those who lied to say they loved you,
Cast away your empty dreams.
Let the beauty that surrounds you
Fill your heart and fill your eyes,
As you leave this place of darkness
On a search for bluer skies.

But when you little world collapses,
When the night brings tears of pain,
When you lie awake and straining
To hear a firmiliar voice again.
When the weight of all the knowlege
Of the world is on your back
When violence is a substitute
For the happiness you lack,
And your innocence is shattered,
Fragments of your bleeding heart
Are enough to leave you shaking,
Enough to rend your soul apart.

You will come back cold and bitter,
Hardened now, beyond your fear.
And though the stormy skies are clear now,
Your eyes speak, and death comes near.
