STILL AS STONE |
Leave me to myself And let me take it all inside. Let my analyze these metaphors, These truths you try and hide. And if my knowlege doesn't scare you Then my actions will make stand, And my hurt will overcome you, But you cannot raise a hand. And can't defend you heart of darkness, Cannot give yourself a crown, Feel no pride at how you've wronged me Just know that I will tear you down. I may shake, and I may waver, But in my head I'm still as stone. I can stop my world from breaking Because I've learned to be alone. |
