EDEN WITHOUT YOU In a perfect paradise With the golden orb above Shining down on emerald land And an ocean blue with love, Not a soul to see us here Nothing left to fight No more darkness, lurking shadows, An eternity of light. You taste is lingering on my tongue, Your hands leaving trails on my skin, And in the obsidian depth of your eyes I see a soul redeemed from sin. But what is this deception? Who plays this fateful game? You lay your still-beating heart in my hands And your last mortal breath speaks my name. The sun that used to thrill me Now chills me through and through All I want is release from this place What is eden without you? |
