This "butterfly girl" was the cover of an American magazine "Paris Nights" in September of 1933. She was inspired, perhaps, by the French "Follies Bergere" ladies of the day. The artist's name was Greiner, well known for work in this genre. Notice that the cover bears the seal of the NRA, which, in those days stood for National Recovery Administration, a "New Deal" agency of F. D. R.
