Esther and Danny

DragonCon '98

Here she is! Esther, aka Sabria, Sr. Weyrwoman of Xanadu. That dashing man next to her is Danny, her fiance. This was their garb for the first day, mercenaries ready to go. (Yes, that sword by Danny's side is real....as is most of his arsenal.) The picture was taken in the food court of a nearby mall, where the cleaning crew literally had to 'kick' us out, because it was closing time and we were just talking...and talking..... and talking..... ;-)

This was taken in the main corridor where the following places were meeting: Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon Five, X-Files and Pern's Weyrfest. (Can't remember the sixth room.) That is golden Gazali on Sabria's shoulder. These are the costumes that made Esther and Danny winners at DragonCon '96. Well, Esther anyway. Danny left his leather armor at home. The Pernfest was done well enough, but it really only pertained to the AOL email story writers. Not Live action Rpers like us! (We were, admittedly, a bit rowdy in their presence - *hee!)
