Nishidhis

These assume the form of inscriptions, footprints of pillars commemorating those reverred saints who have performed sallekhana in the last days of their life. The inscriptions and foot-prints can be found all over the rock surfaces of the Chandragiri hill. Pillars have been erected in pavillions. The Nishidi pillar of Sri Parshvanatha Basti portrays Acharya Mallishena's Sallekhana.
