Alice

Howo people. Thank you for coming to my web-page. I am a forty-two years old (thats seven years to you humans)lady husky. I have one blue eye and one brown eye. I am single and have never had pups. I have one bad leg that I will tell you about later.

My earliest memories began when I was with an older man who couldn't take care of me because I was handful. So I ended up at the doggie jail otherwise known as "animal shelter". One day while I was laying in my doggie cell, this nice man walked into the room. He looked around at all the dogs in the room. Then he came to my cell door and put his hand through the bars. I was a little afraid at first but then I licked his hand. I liked this human for some reason. He seemed to like me alot too. The next thing I knew I was in his truck and we were heading to my new home. It was a cozy little home, just me and my new dad. I had a nice fenced in yard to run and play in.

Dad named me Alice because after he adopted me the song "Alice's Restaurant" was playing on the radio. I guess Dad really likes that song. From that day on I have been his little girl.

For a couple of years it was just me and Dad. I went everywhere he did. I love car rides and having the wind blow in my face as we cruize on down the road.

Then Dad fell in love and got married. So I got a new Mom and two human brothers to play with. I adore my family, especially my brothers because I love to play with kids.

One day I did a stupid thing and got out of the backyard. It was fun at first though. I ran all over the place and checked out all sorts of new surroundings. But the next thing I knew, I was lost. Dad says I have no sense of direction, thats true of huskeys. I was on my own for the next couple of days. I was scared, being all alone.

I was running around and didn't realize what I was doing and ran out into traffic and got hit. It was very painful. I didn't know what to do. Then this lady stoped and picked me up and took me to the vet. She saved my life. I was there for a couple of days. I had a broken leg, which needed a pin to help it heal, but it wouldn't be like it was. For the next week I was at a place out in the country. It was an ok place with other dogs and cats, but it wasn't home.

Just when I was thinking I wouldn't see Dad again there he was waiting out side for me. I was soo glad to see him and I could tell he was glad to see me to, he hugged and kissed me. He said that he looked for me every day. Dad said that the lady that saved me placed an ad in the paper telling about me and thats how mom and Dad found me. It was good to be home.

Well, that happened three years ago and I am glad the whole ordeal is now just a bad memory. Mom and Dad have made my home 100% doggie proof. It is more secure than Fort Knox.

Life is good.
