Stingers' newest recruit is raw, vibrant but impulsive. Diplomacy is not her strong suit.
Danni(ella) Mayo is the newest constable to join the undercover unit and felt a little distance between herself and the others for quite a while. What she didn't know , however was that was due to the fact that Danni was dating, and had been for about one year, a man who according to the gaming squad was a criminal from the underworld heavies. Danni ended up taping his confession to her when she confronted him, and having him arrested. After this she was easily accepted, with the others admiring her courage as they said they wouldn't have been able to do it themselves.
Danni is also the other blond in the unit, she's outgoing and confident, despite being rather impulsive. She also has a soft caring side to her personality, which has surfaced when her friend, Roberto died after being crushed in a boating accident (Fine Details) and when Stone was shot. (Organised Crime) and (Something Old/Something New).
She involved in helping Stone out with his psychological testing and she and Stone have become very close since his shooting (Rich Man's World - Season 4).
Danni was also involved in an unmistakably hot and steamy romance with Peter Church which turned out to be a one night stand (The Whisper Room). The pair, although still close have since drifted apart, particularly after overhearing MacKenzie confess how her and Pete were good together after she had being slipped a micky in her drink by one of Church's former classmates (Reunion).
Danni has just recently learned she is eleven weeks pregnant with his baby (Reunion) only to almost wind up lossing it after being involved in a hit and run (Do The Right Thing).
Danni found herself as the subject of descrimination by the rest of the force who were apposed to pregnant women working beyond three months as it possed too many risks, but after some time thinking it over and discussing it with the baby's father she wound up deciding to keep the baby despite the risks involved.
She and Pete even went as far as to set up house together only to later make the shock discovery when taking an altrasound after being involved in a car accident on her way to an Equal Opportunity Tribunal Hearing, that something had gone terribly wrong in the pregnancy and the baby had wound up developing `Hyperplastic Left Heart Syndrome' forcing her to make the heartbreaking decision to have a termination. |
