She thought she was the best looking of her litter, and thought her mother was the most beautiful of the entire clan. She thought her beauty would keep her away from all harm, for who would sully such beauty when they could protect it? It was around this time that her Clan was attacked by a merciless Clan seeking to purify the Akwanza blood by executing all those who were weak. They saw the Clan's beauty as a weakness, and slaughtered them all. In Eshe's cowardice and disbelief she hid, and watched her entire clan be killed. It was then that she realized there were those who were out to kill those who were beautiful...nay...those who were out there to distroy the beauty of the entire world. She has since then humbled herself, and has sought to keep what she finds beautiful safe. Akwanza are made by Arielle. .: A New Life :. Eshe was not born as Eshe. She was born as Anana, an African name that means "gentle." However, as she watched her entire clan get slaughtered right before her eyes, her life started anew. Fleeing the scene, she changed her name to Eshe, or "life" -- she would never call herself Anana again. She would focus on her new namesake -- on life -- rather than the dead members of her clan. Eshe founded the Guardian Clan in hope that, one day, she could leave not only her memories but this world behind forever.
