Early in their development, the Rivets started suffering from a gene mutation that caused their legs to seldom develop beyond the second joint. The residents of Murales saved the species from extinction by equipping each Rivet with a full set of prosthetic limbs, then breeding them and selling them as pets. These prostheses are stronger than your average organic limb, giving the Rivets increased agility, speed, and power. Although Gage is shy and slightly small for her age, she is very sensitive to the feelings of others. Always ready with an endearing mew and a soft, furry place on your lap, her kind and understanding demeanor often finds her a place in the heart of even the most bitter individual.
