Luckily he was not considered one of the omega pups, because they were the worst off in his Clan, even more the adult omegas. It was rare that an omega pup lived past the first few months of life in his Clan. He was granted life, if that's what you want to call it, but it left him bitter. He is extremely agressive, but has a slight fear of females, so if an alpha female, or really any other agressive female approached him he would treat them with respect, but anyone else is fair game for his sadistic needs. Indeed, Jelanivual's name is almost paradoxical to his nature; his mother was one of the Akwanza who sought to break free from the blood-ridden structures of his birth clan, and she gave him that name as a small token of her resistance. However, Jelanivual never allowed his full name to be known -- to the clan, he was always Jelani, or "mighty," and nothing more. To his childhood friends, he was "Lani." Now, as an adult, hardly anyone dares call him by the pet name of his youth. Hardly anyone is close enough to him to risk it -- Jelanivual is not the type to go around making friends. Indeed, nowadays most everybody knows him by either his full name, or "Vual," the name that his enemies sarcastically call him by.
