Long ago, there was a village fueled by the energy given off by the Hellish Abyss, a gateway to Hell itself. The Abyss could only be appeased through gruesome sacrifice. One of many rituals involved twins, who were chosen at birth and subjected to a life of purification. On the day of the sacrifice, the eldest twin would strangle the youngest, then throw her body into the Hellish Abyss. However, Saewaiel and her sister tried to escape, rather than perform the ritual. Sae fell, and was caught. The desperate villagers performed the ritual with her alone in the hopes that it would be enough...but it was not. Sae emerged from the Abyss, slaughtering every villager without a second thought. The evil of the Abyss had driven her insane... However, Sae herself was not evil. She was simply waiting. Waiting for the time when the Hellish Abyss would be finally appeased...
