A Snap Judgement  - by Lone Wolf
About a month ago I wasn't feeling too happy, so I decided to go to the mall, which usually cheers me up.  I also was waiting for somebody to call me, so I was trying to kill time.  Anyway, I finished my shopping before the person had called me, so I just sat there on a bench and rested my legs for a bit.  This young, attractive man and his young, attractive girlfriend are walking by me and before I even acknowledged them, the man said, "Smile," as if I did not know how!  I was shocked, so I didn't reply.  I watched him walk away and was completely appalled by his judgement of me in the mere seconds that he knew me.  How could he make such a quick judgement about a person he didn't even know?  What makes him think that people should be happy all the time, that human beings shouldn't show any negative emotions even if that is what they are feeling?  Are appearances so important to him that even strangers must put on a happy facade every time he passes by?  I stared after him, watching him walk into the cinnamon bun store in his GAP clothing with his skinny, blonde, fashion-wise girlfriend, laughing and talking, and realized that this probably is a guy who bases everything on appearances.
I feel sorry for him.
