Blaz Bertoncelj & Andreja Podlogar

 

They have been dancing together since 1996. In Argentine tango they have some visible results: third place in Europian Championship, World Champions 1998, a place in the finals of the proffessional World Championship in the 00/01 season in Miami... They performed in Germany, Austria, Croatia and Slovenia. They have participated in a TV Slovenia movie about the tango scene in Ljubljana, which will air in October of 2001.

 

 

 

Mateja Juvan & Uros Andic

She began to dance at the age of six. She was an active competetor in LA and ST dances for twelve years. After she finished her career as a competetor, she dedicated herself to the studies of dance, and has contributed to the direction of dance on the Faculty of Sports in Ljubljana. She began to dance Argentine Tango in 1995 (with her dance partner Uroš Andic), and participated in different shows in Koper, Ljubljana, Triest, New York, and in French Guayana. Uros has been a professional dance instructor since 1988, and he is teaching all kinds of dances (LA, ST and social dances) in Slovenia, and abroad. He is also a guest teacher in Gaudelupo, French Guayana, New York and Trieste. He has been active in Argentine Tango since 1994 (with his dance partner Mateja Juvan). He has worked with respected tango dancers and coreographers, mostly in New York and Barcelona.

 

 

Mateja Smigoc & Bostjan Fajdiga

Born in Maribor in 1979. She began to dance at the age of 13 and has been dancing ever since. She started with the Academic folklore dance group Student (5 years) and in the Academic folklore dance group France Marolt (2 years). She toured in Italy, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Australia, Slovenia and Croatia. She first met with tango in 1995, but started dancing it seriously in 1999. She has been attending milongas in Italy, Austria and Switzerland. Bostjan was born on the 2.9. 1967 in Ljubljana. He auditioned for the Academic folklore dance group France Marolt in 1990 and was successful. He danced with the group for six years, in Slovenia and abroad. From 1994 he studied latin and modern dances at different dance clubs in Ljubljana. He first met with tango in 1997 during a tango workshop held by Uros Andic and Mateja Juvan. After that he familiarized himself with tango at different workshops in Switzerland, Italy and Slovenia.

 

 

Peter Skuber

Born on the 22.11. 1969 in Maribor. In 1984 he performed in a high school play in Maribor. In 1999 he began to dance Argentine tango. He attended workshops in Slovenia and Switzerland, and also participated in milongas in Austria and Italy. Since 1998 he is a permanent member of the amateur theater of Sentvid.

 

 

 

Lara Jankovic

Lara is employed as an actress in theatre of Nova Gorica. She completed her studies in Slovenian academy for acting (AGRFT). After several performances as new actress, she received Borstnik's award for the best new actress and golden stick for Children's play. Lara continued to study singing with Nada Zgur and musical on GSA in Guilford, London. She is familiarized with Jazz, Flamenco, Tango and other dance techniques.

 

 

Irena Zagajsek

Irena is a devoted tango dancer and trained Method acting Actress. 
Build her career in Slovenia and abroad as an actress and a model, 
especially in England (Liverpool) and Japan (Tokyo).
Her search for the finest masters of the performing arts of the word brought 
her to Kazuno Ohno's classes in Japan, him being a legendary buto dancer 
where she learned the sensibility of the true artists. Also the participation in 
Method acting classes of New York ( HB studios, The acting school) are 
seen in her work, but her true development is due to a Actor's studio of 
Ljubljna, where the instructors, students of the acting teacher and actor Lee 
Strasberg, carefully followed her development.
In recent years she was engaged in different television, movie and theatre 
projects in Slovenia and Croatia. 
Encountered tango four years ago to discover her long life longing for it. 
Participated in the classes of the finest tango teachers such as Pablo Veron, 
Gustavo Naviera, Alejandro Aquino and many others. 
Currently teaching performing arts skills and engaged in journalism.
