The short history of Pixelated lies in this corner of my website. Other miscelleanous questions [e.g. direct linking] and issues are also addressed here. Only for the super bo liao-ed [bored] peeps out there. Just kidding... read at your own pleasure.
What is Pixelated::Fresh?
Pixelated::Fresh is one
of the many projects I'm working on. I, by the way, refers to velvet_ice. It's made for leisure
purposes. I don't really like writing out diary entries as I'm too lazy, and
also it's not very safe. Though weblogs are rather unsafe, it's ok because most
of the time I have nothing to hide on online journals.
Fresh is the
3rd installment of the 'Pixelated' series. 'Pixelated' is the name of my
website, while 'Fresh' is just a version name. Other versions I've done
more recently include 'Eclipse' and 'Metallique' [Click to preview]
, which I believe most of you have
seen.
Other than an online journal, I place all other stuff like photos
and articles penned by me on this site. I share my views about musicians that I
like too, and of course, not forgetting links that I frequent.
What did you use to create this site?
I used Microsoft Frontpage, a little of
notepad and Adobe Photoshop 6.0. Not much fancy stuff. Simplicity is good,
sometimes. If you have questions about how I did ______[insert word] on this
site using HTML, you can always e-mail me.
So, any acknowledgements?
Of course. For fresh, I have my brain to thank for giving me the idea. That's not counted? Okay,
fine, then I have to thank alistapart.com for giving me
so much info about CSS, and for teaching me the fundamental basics of good website design.
I thank my Winamp playlist for accompanying through the gruelling process of typing out CSS codes
and scratching my head while at it.
Can I link to you?
Yes, but please do inform me via email
(tangyokepei@yahoo.com.sg) before you do that. Although I once mentioned there
is nothing to hide here, I don't relish the idea of the whole world looking at
my personal space... I would prefer it if it was kept within friends.
Can I link to your images directly?
Nope, sorry. I have limited
bandwidth and space.
Can I copy and paste your images on my website?
No, unless it comes
with an advanced request, or unless otherwise stated on that page itself. Why?
Because most of the images here are made painstakingly by myself. If you
just steal it like that, it's really unfair. Also, some of the images here have
been taken from other authors with PERMISSION. Therefore, if you want to take
those images not belonging to me, you would have to contact its original author
directly.
Interested in a collaboration on a website?
Would like to
collaborate with someone as I have no experience in that field. Provided I have
the right amount of time and energy, I will gladly want to join a collaboration
on the making of a website. I would prefer it if it is done in a group because 2
person collaborations usually fall apart easily. No prizes for guessing why.
Also, I would prefer it if you're someone I know personally, too, but that's not
compulsory. Contact me at tangyokepei@yahoo.com.sg for details.
How about sending feedback to you?
First, there's the shoutbox for
you to post in. However, the word limit is 250 or so, I think. If you have much
more to talk about, you can choose the 2nd alternative: e-mail me. I warmly
welcome feedback as it allows me to improve on my webdesign skills. Regarding
flames, I would probably read them, but if it is a personal insult, begone.
