Sopot Festival with the contest of Grand Prix (70.000 PL zloty = 20.000 USD) with Polish singer Anna Maria Jopek. During two days of the Festival (21-22.08) we will see Chris Rea, Tanita Tikaram, Era, Ace Of Base and The Corrs. The contest will start on Friday evening at 8 p.m. All festival will be able to watch on TVP1 and TV Polonia. Among judges there will be Maryla Rodowicz, Romuald Lipko, Eric Levy. Every artist will sing two songs. The Pole Anna Maria Jopek began with her first album last year. She also sang in the Eurovision festival. Her album was no 1 new album of 1997 in Poland. This year she has a new jazz album "Szeptem". After the contest we will watch The Corrs with their modern folk music, which sold millions of their two albums "Forgiven, Not Forgiven" and "Talk On Corners". The second is still popular in England. The second day will begin with foreign stars. Ace Of Base debuted with 21 millions of "Happy Nations" album. Their hit "All That She Wants" was chose as a hit of decade 84-94 by "Music&Media". Their last album is "Flowers". The next will be Era with their ballet performance, composed by Eric Levy, "Ameno". The third star will be Tanita Tikaram, the vocalist singing small audience, often acoustic ballads. Their greatest hits were "Twist In My Sobriety" and "Cathedral Song". Her new album is "The Cappuccino Songs". Then we will see the best Polish artists winning the contest of the hit of 35 years of two Polish festivals in Opole and Sopot "O!polskie piosenki". Three best songs we will see in Sopot. The second part will be a concert of Chris Rea. His greatest success was the album " Road To Hell" and most popular songs are: "Auberge", "Josephine", "On The Beach", "Looking For The Summer". His last album is "Blue Café".
