The Kind of Person I Want to Be

Tanna

1) Someone Who Takes Care of Herself

I know what I have to do to keep my body healthy, but it isn't always easy. To have a healthy mind, I need a healthy body. To have healthy relationships, I have to be healthy. Health is hard at college, but it can be done and it is a priority. I know what I have to do to be the best me possible, so lets do it. Lets always keep it in mind.

"Before each repetition, make sure the wrists are in line, the shoulders back, and the core tight. Before each choice, make sure it is the right decision, all inline for health."

2) Be More Relaxed

I am always worried about every little thing, always stressed out, but 5 years from now, these little details I am stressing about become unimportant. Sweat the big things, and then get over them. Learn and grow.

"Roll the small things; they're potholes that can't pop your tire. Keep moving down the road."

3)More Patient

I always want to know what is going on right now, what is going to happen next, get things done, next step next action. I need to be more patient with my life and take things as it happens. Sure, it is fine to plan, work hard, and work for the future, but the future will happen eventually

"Everything will come to pass. The hills will crumble, the grand buildings of Cambridge and beyond will fall, the rivers will bend, and I will die. There will be others after me, and the sun will someday die. Now is the time to know that all these will come to pass, but now is the time to live."

4) A Person Who Sticks to Their Values

I have values but don't always stick to them. Now I need to, no compromise. Stick to 429, work on being the free-rangeatarian I always think I should be, stop to cut the plastic bottles rings, hold the door for people, give the world a smile.

"Values don't stop when you have a bad day. Values don't stop when they're hard."

5) Know Who I Am

I need to know that I am beautiful. I need to know that I am smart. I need to know that I am a good writer, that I am worthwhile and fun. That I have a stellar personality. I need to let the real me shine through, and just be me, because being me is fun.

"You are beautiful. You are worth being loved. Know it."
