The Paris Bug
I Love my bitches. They take care of me. (From Left: Tanna (me), Karyn, Liz) During the last school year, I made a card for my Resident Assistant (RA) with Paris Hilton on the cover professing her undying love for him, and Garrett’s face contorted with disgust at I handed him the folded paper. He hates her. And when I thought of her, it was with indifference for a silly little girl. I loved it that she looked horrible without makeup. Now...I look horrible without makeup too, and I don't look on her with indifference because I actually learned something about her! Paris is the sort of girl that looks like a disgrace on the surface. She parties, she’s always got a new rich guy on her arm, she has a sex video, she has a lot of money, she says stupid things. If you don't really think about looking into her life, that's what she is, plastered over tabloids, fashion magazines, and blips on the nightly news and nightly tabloid shows. And it is easy to stop there. So I went further. Amazingly, we have a lot in common. I, too, am a billionaire heiress that spends my time spending gobs of money and never wearing an outfit a second time. I also have my own perfume line, a feud with an old friend, and my own reality TV show. Except that I don't. What I actually have in common with Paris is a love of fashion, of animals, small breasts, loving sex appeal, we’re both a bit ditzy, and we both have a recently single status. On the Regis and Kelly Show, Paris explained that she was single for the first time in her life and loving it. She had never really had time to just find herself and be herself, and now she would take the time to love single life and love herself. When I heard that, I had already been doing something similar for a few weeks, and was ecstatic that a celebrity had the same thing in mind. And Paris is the perfect person to look up to: she is bubbling, exploding with confidence, which is something I need in frequent. I love having confidence, and I've got a pinch of it for the first time since I can remember. I definitely recommend going and picking some of at the grocery market...or Nordstrom's, or something. My confidence is with Paris now. If she can do it, I can. |
