The Sailboat Puzzle

At birth we are given an empty puzzle box, number of pieces infinite, with one word or a picture on the front, maybe blank, but with gist of all philosophical knowledge, enlightenment, God, all-knowing. Our parents throw some puzzle pieces in, and if they're the sort that are stuck in their faith, they'll tell you that that's all you need to complete the picture, those are all the pieces you should ever get.

Some people are happy with the few pieces they get, and some are not. So throw all the pieces away and start from scratch, some save a few cherished pieces and look for others. I've been tossing out pieces, bringing the same ones back, and finding new my entire life.

I don't think all pieces are available to the public yet, and I don't think one religion or philosophy holds all of them. I believe that in all schools of thought there are misleading pieces that fit nowhere on the puzzle, and many pieces that fit somewhere, but the edge isn't even finished. To put the puzzle together, all sects must work together, pray, meditate, contemplate, and still acknowledge that they won't ever finish the puzzle in this world.
