TANSA SKI TRIP 2002
TUROA ski field, Mt. Ruapehu
15th~18th July, 2002
Cost: Member $180, Non-Member $195
Cost includes food (3 breakfasts, 3 dinners and material for 2 lunches), accommodation, and transportation. Ski and other activity expenses are not included, however group price can be arranged.
Brief Introduction
Annual Ski Trip has been TANSA’s biggest outdoor activity since 1995. This activity was originally scheduled in late July or early August before double semester system took effect in Auckland University. Then it was rescheduled and will be take place in middle July to fit into the new inter-semester break this year. Each year TANSA attracts around 70~80 people for this exciting outdoor event.
This year’s focus would be mainly on skiing if the weather permitted. Recent reports show that Mt Ruapehu is already covered with snows. However, activities such as tramping, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, horse riding and 4 wheel driving may also possible in this ski trip. The trip members will have choices of what they want to do each day, not just all go to ski and act like a sitting duck in the ski field cafe. There are more fun out there than just skiing, or to be a sitting duck!! This trip will be ideal for ski beginners who just want a light taste of snow, and people who want to try different types of outdoors activities at their swing of mood.
