Infoseek, it indexes with minutes or 2 days
HotBot - indexes - 3 to 6 weeks
Lycos - indexes 3 to 6 weeks (has not been indexing for the past 6 months
Open Directory Project indexes 2 to 4 weeks ( very productive index site)
MSN indexes within 2 to 5 weeks
Northen Light - indexes in about 6 weeks
SearchKing - indexes within minutes
Alta Vista - indexes within 48 hours to a few weeks
Excite - indexes in about 2 two weeks ( submit only your main page. EXCITE WILL SPIDER ALL THE LINKS FROM YOUR SITE . Excite is with a network of sites, namely AOL Net find, Webcrawel and Magellan.

Yahoo : Yahoo is more a directory rather then a search engine. You have to pick the proper category, this is extremely important. From this site, you can start your journey, you will find Yahoo's search pannel right on top of this page. Enter the search term that most fits you site, and it will first take to the category page, from there keep selecting the sub directorys till you find the most appropriate category for you site. When you have narrowed down the best, go down to the bottem of the page and CLICK the "SUGGEST A SITE." From there just follow the instruction. Almost everone will say it is hard to be listed with Yahoo, but when you take the time, it is not so hard, it pay to be listed with yahoo. It is not that difficult.
The same applies to Snap as you did with Yahoo. It is time consuming but when you site is listed with both of them you will get alot of hits.
